This means that I exist—live and breathe with the feelings that arise when I make a mistake, but that I don’t hold them over my head. It means that I’m dedicated to my life, my family and my clients… and my own personal growth.
Mistakes…they happen! I am not suggesting it’s okay to continue forward unconsciously and clumsily. Holding yourself accountable doesn’t mean holding yourself emotionally handcuffed. I mean hold yourself gently while you forgive and learn.
I have also learned that you don’t have to have or pretend to have your shit together all the time. It’s not possible, and it simply is exhausting—trust me. You just have to be yourself and to bring your own presence to yourself to feel what you feel rather than either beating yourself up or putting on your mask.
How many days/years can your wear that thing anyway? I have an Exercise Physiology degree not a performing arts degree!
In that presence you will find the lesson, the lightness, your humor and your humanity.
